3rd Annual International Gang Awareness Day

In 2018 AGIA along with Tuscaloosa Police Department are proud to have hosted a day of gang awareness to at risk youth in the Tuscaloosa community. 

The City of Tuscaloosa took a stand against gangs and gang violence by enacting a resolution declaring September as Gang Free Month for the City. 

Youth heard from local speakers on gang prevention topics and played basketball from LEO’s from around the state. It was a great day with some great kids and officers.

Thanks to our sponsors, each youth received a new basketball, T-shirts for the event, medals and goody bags.

We are so thankful for the support and outpouring of the community leaders and businesses who helped make this day possible for these kids.
